Phonic Screening Check outcomes 2025
The Phonics Screening Check is a check of your child’s phonics knowledge. It helps to confirm whether your child has made the expected progress. The phonics check is a mix of ‘real’ words and ‘non-words’. Children cannot read the non-words by using their memory or vocabulary; they must use their decoding/phonic skills.
