Year 1: The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch

In Year 1 we are reading the Lighthouse keepers lunch. ‘Every day Mr Grindling, the lighthouse keeper tucks into a delicious lunch, prepared by his wife, Mrs Grindling. But he’s not the only one who likes a snack and the local seagulls have started stealing his tasty treats!

Taye: “I like when the cat is on the basket, it makes me laugh!’ ‘The seagulls are cheeky!”

Paisley: “They steal the food and it makes me angry as you should not steal food!”

Raouf: “The cat is scared of seagulls. This is sad as he doesn’t want to get eaten!”
