Year 3: Agent Weasel

By Nick Fast

This book introduces Agent Weasel, woodland super spy, who works for an intelligence organisation called WI6 in the United Woodlands. Strange things are happening: rabbit burrows are sabotaged (with itching powder), squirrels’ nuts keep disappearing, and Badger wakes up with his bottom shaved. Clues point to the Fiendish Fox Gang. Agent Weasel and his sidekick, Doorkins the dormouse, try to stake out the criminals, but get captured by Vixen von Fluff. The story follows their attempts to escape, piece together what the foxes are up to, restore order to the Woodlands, and—along the way—ensure there’s enough tea and biscuits for everyone. It’s a funny adventure with illustrations throughout, mixing mystery, slapstick moments, and plenty of woodland charm.

Ayat: “Viv and Vic are the worst spies ever! They can’t seem to do anything right.”

Errol: “The FFG sound extremely notorious.”

Makys: “I love the way Miss Begley changes her voices when different characters are talking. She really makes it interesting for us to listen to.”
